About the Office of Institutional Research

Our office provides information to both internal and external communities. The office keeps our title — Institutional Research — in the forefront at all times to create a balance of data support that truly exemplifies organizational research. In this vein, we have created an IR structure that prioritizes projects/tasks that meet as many needs as possible while maintaining the integrity of the office and the information.

Reporting Responsibilities

The varied operations of the IR Office include these reporting responsibilities:

  • Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)
  • Colorado Commission on Higher Education
  • Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System/State Board
  • North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA)
  • Performance Indicators and other legislative mandates
  • External Surveys (e.g., Peterson's Guides)
  • FRCC Institution-wide Internal Surveys
    • Vocational Graduate Follow-up Survey
    • Currently Enrolled Student Survey
    • Graduates’ Survey
     
  • Student Tracking System
  • Support of student academic achievement assessment data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Environmental Scanning
  • Geographical Information System (GIS)
  • Instructional Master Planning
