Summary

Directs the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of Student and Enrollment Services. Provides leadership and ensures consistency in the development and maintenance of student programs and services. Responsible for student welfare issues involving disciplinary procedures and due process.
 

 Responsibilities

  • Directs strategic planning of services and programs of the Student Services Division. Establishes goals and objectives in the Division and the Department consistent with College educational programs and policies. Conducts ongoing service and program evaluations. Monitors services and reviews outcomes to assess accountability.
  • Participates as a team member in campus and college-wide leadership and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Develops budgets, monitors expenditures, and reallocates resources as necessary. Expands fiscal resources whenever possible.
  • Selects, develops, supervises and evaluates staff.
  • Interviews, investigates, and responds to student complaints and concerns regarding services, programs, and college interactions in general. Takes appropriate steps to resolve concerns.
  • Coordinates with campus instructional Deans and college-wide deans to develop goals, services, and strategies to enhance enrollment and retention in accordance with college goals.
  • Conducts college disciplinary grievance and sexual harassment processes including investigations, determining sanctions, and coordinating judicial and grievance boards to ensure compliance with due process.
  • Represents Front Range Community College with Community organizations, business and industry, governmental agencies and K-12/post-secondary institutions to meet the needs of the campus service area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduation from a college/university with a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Five to seven years of increasing responsibility in higher education administration including staff supervision, project management, teaching experience at the college level, and work in vocational education.
  • Extensive knowledge of the area of student services.
  • Knowledge/ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of community college operations.
  • Knowledge of educational and business practices and policies including budgeting, planning and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of management and supervisory practices and principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments of the College, staff, students, state agencies and the community.
  • Ability to analyze complex organizations and systems and implement change.
  • Strong sense of accountability.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a Colorado higher education/community college environment.

 Salary

Low to Mid $70's commensurate with experience.
