The following LPN to ADN pre-requisites and program requirements must be completed with grades posted to your transcript before making application to the ADN (RN) Program waitlist:

English Composition I:

    ENG 121

 Human Growth and Development:

  

 Anatomy and Physiology I (4 credits with lab):
within 7 years of admission

  

 Anatomy and Physiology II (4 credits with lab):
within 7 years of admission

  

 Microbiology (4 credits with lab):
within 7 years of admission

  

 Nutrition:
(HWE 100 or other 3 credit courses satisfy this pre-requisite)

  

GPA of 2.75:
(factored with pre-requisite courses only)

  

Graduate of an accredited LPN program within the US
and hold a valid Colorado LPN license:

 Before admission into the program the following criteria must be completed:
Pathophysiology (4 credits with lab) within 7 years of admission:     BIO 216 
Math for Clinical Calculations or higher level math course:     MAT 103 
Transition from LPN to ADN:
(offered at FRCC-Boulder County Campus)		     NUR 189 

Meet experience and testing requirements as identified in the Colorado Articulation Model 2005-2010

  • 0-3 years after LPN graduation
    • No testing or work experience required
  • 3+-10 years
    • No testing required if during the last 3 years had:
      • Nursing work experience of 1000 hours, or
      • CCNE approved refresher course, or
      • An experience approved by the accepting college
  • 10+ years:
    • Excelsior Testing required
    • During the last 3 years must have had:
      • Nursing work experience of 1000 hours, or
      • CCNE approved refresher course, or
      • An experience approved by the accepting college
