Our truck driver training program is designed to train people who have no experience or training as a tractor-trailer truck driver. Each course evaluates a driver’s ability. Training will involve a combination of classroom, simulator and on the road experience as well as the measuring of skills and attitudes in certain driving situations. This course includes but is not limited to pre-trip vehicle inspection, backing, shifting, road conditions, proper gear selection and shifting techniques, use of mirrors, proper use of clutch and engine brakes, speed and space management, turning and selecting lanes, aggressive traffic, and log books. For some courses special attention to the driver’s industry is taken into consideration.
You must be 18 years of age, successfully complete a DOT physical, and pass a drug screening test and background check in order to be admitted to the training program.
