Paralegals work under the supervision of attorneys in private law firms, corporations, and government agencies. The paralegal works under the supervision of an attorney and their work includes preparing legal documents, researching and compiling information, and communicating with clients. Paralegals are not authorized to practice law under any circumstances. This is a profession that is expected to have job growth that is above average, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

This program is offered partially online. You will complete a minimum of 12 credit hours of legal speciality courses through traditional classroom instruction. The classroom courses -- Legal Research, Legal Writing, Civil Litigation I, and Legal Ethics -- will be offered each semester in the evening so you can work and go to class. You also will gain real-world experience in an internship.
