GED Testing at Boulder County Campus
You must have an appointment to take the GED at the FRCC Boulder County Campus. The cost for all tests is $120, payable by check or money order.
Regular GED Test
Regular tests are given on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
To take the Regular GED test at Boulder County:
- Register online.
- Call the Testing Center to schedule a testing time.
- Bring a valid government issued picture ID such as a driver’s license, state ID, passport or military ID.
Computerized GED Test
The computer-based GED exam is available Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Testing Center.
To take the Computer-Based GED test:
- Go to www.gedcomputer.com
- Create your account
- Schedule your appointment
- Bring a valid government issued picture ID such as a driver’s license, state ID, passport or military ID.
Take a Class to Prepare for the GED
The cost for the GED Prep course is $110, payable to FRCC-BCC by check
or money order at the time of registration. Please note this prep course
fee does not include the $120 official GED Test fee. See registration

Online GED Prep
Each session of the Front Range Community College- Boulder County Campus’s GED Preparation (GEDP) program is seven weeks long. The GEDP course prepares students to complete the official GED exams. The majority of coursework is completed online anywhere a computer and Internet connection are available. Online lessons are supplemented with classroom instruction and individualized coaching/tutoring, if needed, to aid students in setting goals, building structure, and maintaining focus.
