Transfer Planning

Transfer Credit out of FRCC

Nearly three-fourths of FRCC A.A., A.S., and A.G.S. 2008 graduates are continuing their education elsewhere. Our goal is to provide all the information you’ll need to make your transfer to the institution of your choice as seamless as possible. See transfer degree options.

Guaranteed Transfer

A “guaranteed transfer” (gtPATHWAYS) course is one that is universally transferable among all Colorado public institutions of higher education. Upon admission to another institution, up to 31 credits of gtPATHWAYS coursework will count toward general education requirements for most Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Science degree programs. FRCC has more than 125 courses in 34 subject areas that are guaranteed to transfer.

Other Credits’ Impact on Transferring

Tested-only credit may not apply and can invalidate the guaranteed transfer of A.A. and A.S. degrees. This can include credit earned through:

  •  Prior learning
  •  Advanced Placement
  •  International Baccalaureate
  •  Articulation
  •  Military
  •  Corporate
  •  Challenge exam
  •  Portfolio credit
  •  Substitutions
  •  Independent study
  •  Correspondence courses
  •  CLEP

The institution to which a student transfers will evaluate these credits according to its own policies.
