Financial Aid

Grants

Unlike loans, grants do not need to be repaid. Here are several types of grants available to eligible FRCC students:

Federal Pell Grant

This need-based grant is available only to students without a prior bachelor's degree who demonstrate financial need according to a federal eligibility formula. Students must be attending courses in which they are enrolled. Front Range Community College may disburse less than a student’s full-time award, depending on the number of credits a student is taking.

Colorado Student Grant

Funded by the Colorado General Assembly, this need-based grant is available only to students without a prior bachelor’s degree who demonstrate financial need according to a federal eligibility formula. Recipients must be Colorado residents. These limited funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. You must enroll in 6 or more credits to be eligible.

Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
