Larimer Campus HVAC Program
Registration for ICE Exams
Students who have completed the HVAC program at FRCC-Larimer Campus may register to sit for the three national exams. Please follow these guidelines:
- Complete the registration form one week prior to the date you wish to sit for an exam
- Select which exam you will take
- Candidates must arrive 2.5 hours before closing for Light commercial and Commercial and 3.5 hours for Residential. Testing center hours
- Candidates must bring a photo ID on the day of testing
- Cost of each exam is $30 and will be paid on the day of testing
The three exams are:
- Residential AC & Heating
- 150 questions; 6 sections; 35 minutes per section; passing score is 70 on each section
- Light Commercial AC & Heating
- 100 questions; passing score is 60; 2 hours
- Commercial Refrigeration
- 100 questions; passing score is 60; 2 hours
