Student Veterinary Technician Association at Larimer Campus
The Student Veterinary Technician Association (SVTA) is open to any student attending FRCC who has an interest in animals or the veterinary technology profession.
Opportunities
- We hold monthly meetings and often feature well-respected guest speakers from our field.
- We hold two or three vaccination clinics per year as a way for us to practice what we are learning in the program and offer an important service to the community at an affordable price.
- We plan several fun events each semester, such as a “behind the scenes” trip to the zoo, movie nights, funny T-shirt day, adopt-a-road trash pickup and picnic, vet tech jeopardy games, holiday parties, and much more.
- Take advantage of networking and educational opportunities as a student member of the Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians.
Membership
Membership is $10 per year or $6 per semester.
