THE HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS AT
Front Range Community College
Larimer Campus
2010-2011

Welcome to the High School Programs
at Front Range Community College!

Explore possibilities…

The High School Programs offer a unique opportunity for high school students to gain advanced career and technical training in one of 10 different areas (see below) – it is definitely not your typical high school experience!

Discover your dream…

The mixture of classroom and hands-on training offers students a thorough background in each field, exposure to the latest technology, and an exploration of career options.  Work and learn in a supportive environment while you decide if a particular career path is right for you.

Create your future…

The High School Programs prepare students to enter the workforce and/or continue their college classes.  Students earn high school graduation credits and have the opportunity to earn college credit at Front Range Community College at no cost to the student!

Location:

Programs are held at FRCC in Fort Collins, Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins, and the Community Learning Center in Loveland.  Transportation is provided to FRCC and Fossil Ridge High School from most of the high schools in the Poudre and Thompson school districts.

Schedule:

Depending on their home high school schedule, students will attend the High School Programs either in the morning (8am – 10am) or afternoon (12:30pm – 2:30pm).  Students will spend the rest of the day at their home high school.  FRCC classes meet every day, Monday – Friday, for the entire year.

Costs:

Every student who enrolls in the High School Programs receives a scholarship valued at over $3000 from the Poudre and Thompson school districts.  There is no tuition cost to students.  Depending on the program, there may be minimal expenses that the student is expected to cover, such as uniform rental, program materials, or transportation to off campus activities.

Classes:

Classes provide college-level training, including integrated academics, career training, and work ethics.  Class size is limited to 16-24 students, all of whom are high school students.
