Paralegals work under the supervision of attorneys in private law firms, corporations, and government agencies. The paralegal works under the supervision of an attorney and their work includes preparing legal documents, researching and compiling information, and communicating with clients. Paralegals are not authorize to practice law under any circumstances. This is a profession that is expected to have job growth that is above average, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The program is offered partially online with a combination of online and hybrid courses; specialty courses are offered in the hybrid format with a combining traditional classroom and online instruction. In addition to convenience, there is another benefit: You gain experience working with computers as you prepare to work in a field in which more and more research is conducted online. You also will gain real-world experience in an internship.
