Clark, a mechanical engineer, spent the bulk of his career in manufacturing management at Hewlett-Packard. Since HP, Clark has worked in a variety of smaller companies, traveling in Asia working with suppliers.
A person’s education is the foundation for not only their vocation, but also for how they live their life. Some things that are learned in school are directly applicable to a vocation, but often not. An education prepares a person for how they understand, interact with, and enjoy the world.
A teacher’s role is that of coach. The classroom should be an active, stimulating place where the student’s interest and understanding is reinforced. The teacher must structure the class in a way that the pace and sense of community in the class inspires the student to learn.
