GUIDELINES for Test-Proctoring
Online Learning Courses

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY! 

As a means of increasing accessibility for students unable to come to FRCC campuses to take their exams, the Online Learning program offers students the option of arranging to have tests proctored at a local site convenient to them.  The security and integrity of tests and the testing procedure are a critical component for the quality of any course; therefore, guidelines and requirements are necessary for independent proctoring.  Arranging for test proctoring outside FRCC testing centers is the responsibility of the student.

Students are required to use a testing center in a local community college or university.  If a student cannot locate a college testing center please call 970-204-8188 to discuss other options prior to completing the request form below. 

• The proctor must agree to document the time and place each test is taken, and to certify that specified time limits and any requirements or prohibitions for materials or equipment are observed.
• The proctor must be approved by FRCC.  FRCC testing center staff will verify the proctor after receiving proctor information from the form submitted by the student on this page. 
• There may be a proctoring fee incurred, which is the student’s responsibility.
• The relationship between the student and the proctor must be described as part of the approval process. 
• Students must take their exams in an institution of higher education.
