Job skills and training

Our career/technical programs are tightly aligned with local business and industry needs. A recent example is our Clean Energy Technology Program. We worked with more than two dozen businesses to design the curriculum that will provide real-world experiences for our students. Employers, FRCC’s Corporate Solutions group will customize training for your specific needs.

Guaranteed transfer

Our gtPATHWAYS curriculum is guaranteed to transfer to the colleges of arts and sciences at all public four-year colleges and universities in Colorado. FRCC is the No. 1 transfer institution for Colorado State University, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and the University of Colorado-Boulder. University studies have shown no difference between their students’ and FRCC transfer students’ academic accomplishments. In fact, FRCC transfer students often do better than their peers.

Speaking of transfer, we have a special agreement with Colorado School of Mines for you to transfer more than 60 FRCC credits – taken at FRCC tuition rates. And there are other transfer agreements in areas such as business, early childhood education, elementary education, and nursing, and with other institutions, including Regis University and the University of Denver.

Our stellar faculty shares a passion for teaching and student success. They have the same or better academic qualifications as classroom faculty at four-year schools. And they will know your name.

K-12 partnerships

Colorado’s new concurrent enrollment law opens new doors for high schools and colleges to partner to help young people who never dreamed of college to get a chance at higher education. FRCC has strong relationships with school districts that can make a difference in your life. Some recent examples of our commitment: Gateway to College, Post-Secondary Enrollment Options, and FRCC Early College.

If you're unsure what direction you want to take, our expert advisors will help you. If you're not sure you're ready for college-level courses, we have mathematics and English courses you can take at your own pace to help prepare you to succeed.

FRCC's tuition is both one of the best bargains around and one of the best investments you can make because it’s an investment in you. If you are a Colorado resident for tuition purposes, remember to sign up for the College Opportunity Fund. It's the way the State of Colorado pays a portion of your in-state tuition.

Total educational environment

Take advantage of mentorship programs, service learning, tutoring, honors programs, honors societies, financial aid, open computer areas, and math, science, and English labs. Learning takes place outside the classroom, too. Our skilled Student Life professionals support student activities and student clubs and organizations. Join in!

FRCC has invested millions of dollars in improvements and classroom upgrades with the best technology in the state. Career/technical programs have up-to-date software, and you will work on equipment found in the workplace.
