Get a Degree in Two Years

Most associate degree programs at Front Range Community College may be completed in four semesters if the student is:

  • Attending on a full-time basis (averaging 15 credit hours per semester)
  • Successfully completing the required number of hours
  • Not required to complete developmental courses

Associate of Arts (A.A.)

This degree is a generic major of liberal arts and is a transfer degree designed for students who plan to get their bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university. The classes you take are guaranteed to transfer to any four-year college in Colorado. With an A.A. degree, you'll complete your basic classes at FRCC (e.g. English, math, science, etc.) and then have just two years left to complete your bachelor degree at a university.

Associate of Science (A.S.)

This degree is a transfer degree designed for students who plan to get their bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university in a math or science field (e.g. computer science, physics, engineering, etc.). The classes you take are guaranteed to transfer to any four-year college in Colorado. With an A.S. degree, you'll complete your basic classes at FRCC (e.g. English, math, science, etc.) and then have just two years left to complete your bachelor degree at a university.

Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S)

This is a technical degree and prepares students to enter either skilled occupations or to advance in their current jobs. These programs are not intended to transfer to bachelor degree programs, but certain courses may be accepted toward a bachelor’s degree at some institutions.

Earn your A.A.S. degree from FRCC to add power to the career/technical certificate you are earning at one of Colorado's area vocational technical schools -- Delta-Montrose, Emily Griffith Opportunity School, Pickens Tech.

Associate of General Studies (A.G.S.)

This is a degree where you can work with an academic advisor to customize your degree to match your goals. Transferability of the A.G.S. depends on the courses taken and the requirements of the receiving institution.

Certificates

More than 100 certificates are offered at Front Range Community College, from Emergency Medical Services to Welding. The College is comprised of three campuses and one center. The certificates you can earn vary by location.
