Barb is the program coordinator and faculty member for Forestry, Wildlife, and Natural Resources. She has taught all of the courses in the degree and certificate programs and coordinates all field study opportunities. Barb also coordinates the Honors program and internship and independent study projects for students, She is the main advisor for NRE students. Barb has extensive experience in professional development, curriculum writing, and designing multicultural curriculum. In 2009, Barb completed her Ph.D. in Education, focusing on minimizing the achievement gap for science for low socioeconomic class and Mexican-American students through field experience. Barb is involved in the community and conducts conservation research with mountain lions living along the Front Range.
