Lindsay is a native of Colorado who is happy to be at FRCC after 11 years studying physics and astrophysics in Oregon, Scotland, and Wisconsin. As a doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Lindsay worked with a team of scientists developing, testing, and building astrophysical X-ray detectors which flew on a NASA sounding rocket and a Japanese-U.S. satellite mission. In graduate school, Lindsay had the opportunity to teach in addition to her research work. Although she found that both research and teaching were intellectually challenging, only teaching engaged her heart as well as her mind. Teaching at FRCC is Lindsay's dream job because at FRCC she teaches a subject she is passionate about to students who inspire her to do her best.
