My Outreach Focus:
I enjoy working with future FRCC students and their family to guide them through the college enrollment process and help them accomplish their goals.
Why FRCC is Great:
It provides a comfortable learning environment where students are able to recognize their full potential.
Favorite Class in College:
My ethnic studies classes were the gateway for me to become a high school history teacher. I had done poorly in History in high school, but once I learned about my history I wanted to learn about other’s experiences. History is not just about names and dates, but also keeping an open mind and thinking critically about the world around you.
I was born in Colorado and raised in the small town of Milliken. In high school I was privileged to be a part of the CSU Upward Bound program, a federally funded pre-collegiate TRIO program that prepares first generation and low income students to attend college. The program’s unwavering support through high school, and even through college, motivated me to work in the field of education to share the mission of TRIO wherever I work.
