Shelly has worked in labor and delivery and high risk obstetrical home care for 26 years. She taught at the Denver School of Nursing and Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs for two years before moving to Fort Collins to work with Front Range Community College. Her passions are obstetrics, working with the elderly, and teaching. She is a native Coloradoan with four daughters, four grandchildren, and another on the way. She enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, reading, and traveling.
Teaching Philosophy
Learning is a lifelong process for those in the field of nursing. It is exciting and fun. Shelly’s hope is that the students can see her enthusiasm and passion for nursing through her teaching and experience it for themselves.
