Rita keeps current in mathematics education and adult education best practices with participation in NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics), CoADE (Colorado Association for Developmental Education), NADE (National Association for Developmental Educators), ColoMaTYC (Colorado Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges). She serves as a professional development mentor/coach for instructors in all disciplines at the Brighton Center. Outside of teaching, Rita enjoys hiking, biking and camping with her family in the mountains of Colorado and the surrounding states.
