COVID Vaccine Information

Have Questions About the COVID Vaccine?

While the COVID-19 vaccine is not required to join us on campus or to attend courses, FRCC is encouraging all members of our community to get vaccinated. Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective and free. In Colorado, the vaccine is available to anyone 12 and older.

Making a vaccine appointment is easy! There are many different resources to help you find an appointment that works for you.

  • COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective
  • You may experience side effects after vaccination. These are normal and should go away in a few days.
  • It typically takes two weeks after vaccination for the body to build protection (immunity) against the virus that causes COVID-19. You are not fully vaccinated until two weeks after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or two weeks after a one-dose vaccine.
  • Learn how to find a COVID-19 vaccine so you can get it as soon as possible.
  • People who have been fully vaccinated can start to do some things that they had stopped doing because of the pandemic.

The COVID-19 vaccine is completely free for everyone, and many providers do not require any documentation to receive the vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccination providers cannot

  • Charge you for the vaccine
  • Charge you directly for any administration fees, copays, coinsurance, or the balance of the bill after appropriate reimbursement
  • Deny vaccination to anyone who does not have health insurance coverage, is underinsured, or is out of network
  • Charge an office visit or other fee to the recipient if the only service provided is a COVID-19 vaccination
  • Require additional services in order for a person to receive a COVID-19 vaccine; however, additional healthcare services can be provided at the same time and billed as appropriate

CDC's Key Things To Know
