Important Announcement
Due to the limited availability of funds in the Care Forward Colorado program, starting Spring 2024, new students or those starting a new program will not be able to receive Care Forward Colorado funding.
Other funding sources may be available for these programs and many students can complete these programs for little or no out-of pocket costs.

With the Care Forward Colorado program, you can get free, short-term training in high-demand health care programs. The program covers all tuition, fees and course materials—and you can get started in your new career in just one year!
Choose from 13 Health Care Programs
- Advanced Pharmacy Technician—26 credits (2 semesters)
- Clinical Emergency Medical Technician—24 credits (2 semesters)
- Dental Assisting—46 credits (2 semesters)
- Emergency Medical Technician—12 credits (1 semester)
- Integrative Health & Wellness Coaching—24 credits (2 semesters)
- Massage Therapy—20 credits (3 semesters)
- Medical Assistant—26 credits (2 semesters)
- Medical Coding—29 credits (2 semesters)
- Medical Office Administration Assistant—5 credits (1 semesters)
- Nurse Aide (CNA)—5 credits (1 semester)
- Practical Nursing Certificate—43 credits (3 semesters)
- Phlebotomy—5 credits (1 semester)
- Sterile Processing—18 credits (1 semester)

Health care jobs are some of the fastest-growing in Colorado—and they provide a solid wage that can support a family. In a year or less, you can be well prepared to start working in one of these high-growth careers.
Once you earn your certificate, you’ll be in demand for jobs. Start your new health care occupation immediately or continue your education—or both!
Next Steps
All you have to do is:
- Apply to FRCC.
- Officially declare in one of the qualifying certificate programs.
- Register for classes that are required for the qualifying program you are declared in.
- Apply for FAFSA or CASFA.
- Complete the Care Forward Colorado Attestation Form.
