Boulder County Campus
About Boulder County Campus
Since 1982, Front Range Community College has maintained a growing presence in Boulder County. Today, our Boulder County Campus serves more than 3,000 students seeking career/technical training or general education courses to transfer. The campus works closely with admissions and transfer personnel at the University of Colorado at Boulder and other colleges and universities to make the process for FRCC students who intend to transfer as seamless as possible.
Award-winning artists
The Boulder County Campus is becoming known internationally for its medallion artists. In 2007, art faculty member Camille Rendal and student Elaine Swenson were the only artists from Colorado to have medals accepted for exhibition at the Art Medal World Congress in Colorado Springs, a biennial international gathering of medallion artists. In 2009, Camille, Elaine, and student Marcy Davis had medals accepted for the 2010 exhibition in Finland.
Industry-specific training
The campus works with organizations in the area to provide industry-specific training—such as the partnership with Sonora Medical Systems, a technology leader in the development and marketing of proprietary test equipment and biomedical tools for the ultrasound diagnostic imaging field and other specialty markets. Technicians attending the Sonora Service Training Institute can earn a certificate in Ultrasound Service from FRCC.
High school students welcome
Through the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Act, the Boulder County Campus works closely with area school districts to engage high school students seeking college-level instruction.
