Elementary Education Degrees program

Classes where you need them.

Apply Now!You can earn an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree with an area of emphasis in Elementary Education for Transfer from classroom-based courses at the Boulder County, Larimer, or Westminster campuses. Some classes can be taken online or at our Brighton location.

How to transfer for your Elementary Education degree

Here’s how the program works: You take 41 credits from FRCC that are accepted universally at any state college or university with an Elementary Education degree; the other 19 credits you take at FRCC are unique to your transfer institution, so you need to decide on a target transfer college or university to know what to take. We will work with you to choose the right courses.

A career in elementary education could be just right for you.

Do you like to work with children? Do you want to change the future? If you answer “yes” to either of these questions, you could be an elementary school teacher. If you’re still undecided, take EDU 221 in your first or second semester at FRCC to help you decide whether this career is for you.
