This certificate program prepares students for a variety of entry-level clerical and technical positions that have a recordkeeping or bookkeeping component. In consultation with an accounting faculty advisor, the certificate can be tailored to meet the needs of students who have already achieved significant skills and knowledge in basic accounting fundamentals and/or computer applications.

Enrolled Agent

(2 semesters)

This certificate teaches students the practical skills needed to take the IRS Special Enrollment Examinations. An enrolled agent is certified by the IRS to perform income tax preparation for individuals, corporations, estates, and trusts. In consultation with an accounting faculty advisor, this certificate can be tailored to meet the needs of students who have already achieved significant knowledge and skills in tax preparation.

This certificate offers students an intermediate option of core accounting and relevant business classes and prepares students for transfer to a four-year college or job opportunities and advancement within the accounting industry. If your goal is a bachelor's degree in Accounting...

Consider FRCC’s Business degree (A.A.) for Transfer. With this degree, you will have a grasp of the “big picture” of business, so you are ready to concentrate on accounting as your major at any public four-year college or university in Colorado.

Regis University

FRCC students can transfer their Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), Associate of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) degree to Regis. Depending on your field of study, you can complete up to 90 credits at FRCC and transfer to complete about 30 credit hours at Regis to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  Learn more.
