FRCC provides many opportunities for you to reach your goals, and orientation is a fun way to learn about the services and resources available to help you succeed—while meeting other new FRCC students. Research shows that students who attend orientation are better prepared for success and feel more connected to their college. New Student Orientation will provide you tips for college success, academic advice, as well as the opportunity to attend workshops and discussion groups, meet other students, take a campus tour, and much more.

Transfer Options for Business and CIS Students
Are you planning to pursue a career in accounting, business, computer information systems, or human resources management? You can earn a degree from Regis University at a third of the cost. Find out how at this session.
Communications and Behavioral Science
All courses of study require college-level English Composition I (ENG 121) and some require English Composition II (ENG 122) or other Communications courses such as Public Speaking (COM 115) or Interpersonal Communications (COM 125). Most courses of study require one of these social science courses: Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, or Sociology. American Sign Language, Interpreter Preparation, and Criminal Justice are also included in this session. Find out what these courses cover, discuss career ideas, and more. Class assignments and course sequencing will be explained.
Get Ready for English
For students enrolled in Developmental Studies Reading (REA), English (ENG) 030, 060, or 090, or Advanced Academic Achievement (AAA), this session provides information on typical class assignments and projects.
Humanities: Art, Music, Philosophy, Women's Studies, Languages, and Theatre
Tour our art and music studios. Learn about foreign languages and the interdisciplinary study of culture in the humanities. Check out unique courses such as Arabic, Art History, World Religion, or Ethics.
Math and Science
Math and science course work is required for every college degree…but which math class is right for your plan of study? What science class interests you most: Astronomy, Biology, Physics, Geology, or Chemistry? Get helpful tips on succeeding in FRCC math and science classes.
MGD: Multimedia Graphic Design
Animation ... Graphic Design ... Web Media ... Digital Imaging. These are just a few of the exciting multimedia classes offered at FRCC. Learn all about each, take a tour of the MGD labs and production rooms, and see student films and photography.

What are the unique challenges facing non-traditional students? This faculty- and student-led discussion provides helpful information on how to return to college and successfully balance work, family, and school. (Evening orientation session only)
Major in Success: Making the Most of What's on Campus
In this session you'll learn how to take advantage of all resources on campus, such as the math lab, writing center, and advising center.

Tour our Fitness Center, learn about physical education (PED) opportunities, and find out how just a few workouts a week can help you balance your life and improve your study skills. Check out our PED courses including Rock Climbing, Weight Training, Yoga, and more.
You've Got Style - A Learning Style!
Everyone has a different style of learning – you might be a visual leaner, an aural (auditory) learner, a reading/writing learner, a kinesthetic learner, or a combination of several styles!
