Front Range Community College has testing centers located at our Boulder County, Larimer and Westminster campuses. We offer a variety of tests to both students and the community.
Things to Know
- All tests are by appointment only and require a government-issued photo ID or current Wolf Card (Wolf Card only for Classroom Exams)
- Placement testing must begin two hours before closing.
- Class exams must begin no later than one hour before closing.
- Lockers are available. You will need to lock up cell phones, watches, hats, outerwear, laptops, bags, water and food items. Only your photo ID and approved tests aids are permitted in the testing room.
- No children are allowed in the Testing Centers and they cannot be left unattended outside of the Testing Centers during testing.
- Contact the Testing Center if you would like to take an exam that is not listed.

- Pay Your Proctor Fee (if applicable to your exam, no charge for classroom exams)

Exams Offered
FRCC Testing Centers administer a variety of national and local exams. If you would like to take an exam that is not on this list, please reach out to us.
Placement Tests (Accuplacer)
Available at All Campuses
The state-required placement test will help us make sure you're signed up for the right level of classes. Front Range students are able to self-place into English and Math with their advisors, if you prefer. For Math higher than MAT 1340 (College Algebra), please schedule an Accuplacer exam at our Testing Center. No cost for the first exam, $5 for retakes.

If needed for advanced placement in FRCC Language classes (Spanish, French, German, Russian).
CLEP & DSST Exams ($25 Proctor Fee)
Available at All Campuses
Take these exams to earn college credit by testing out of select classes instead of devoting a semester to them.

Classroom Exams
Available at All Campuses
If you're taking a class and need an in-person exam (e.g., class make-up exam), you can take it at any FRCC testing center or approved location. Be sure that your instructor has agreed to provide your exam to the testing center.
How To Schedule A Class Exam
1. Choose A Campus
- Choose a campus, then select "Schedule Test".
2. Sign In or Create Your Account
- Select the avatar (circle) in the upper-right corner of the screen
- Select “Sign In”
- Enter your FRCC student email and password
First-time users or forgotten password?

Select “Need password or account assistance?”

Enter your FRCC student email

Select “Request Password Reset”

Check your FRCC email and follow the instructions to create a password

Return to the Sign In screen

Log in using your FRCC student email and new password
3. Schedule Your Class Exam Appointment
Note: you must sign in (step 2) before you schedule your testing appointment.
- Under “Choose a Group,” select "Classroom Exam – Professor has not submitted exam"
- Continue scheduling your appointment (note: your professor will submit the exam)
Disability Support Services (DSS) Accommodations
- Approved accommodations will automatically appear in your account
- Select needed accommodations when scheduling
- If accommodations are missing, contact Disability Support Services (DSS)
- If a private room option is greyed out, the time slot is full—select a different time
HESI Exam ($35 Proctor Fee)
Available at All Campuses
All nursing applicants are required to take the Elsevier HESI A-2 entrance exam. The HESI A2 exam is offered at this testing center (Monday - Friday only) or remote with live proctoring through Proctor U.
Proctored Exams ($25 Proctor Fee)
Proctored exams from other universities (students who take correspondence, continuing education, or distance learning courses from other colleges and institutions may have their exams proctored for a fee of $25).
