Why Our Donors Give

Dr. David Davis
Honoring a Life-Changing Teacher
"He was a very life-changing kind of teacher. I credit him with setting my career direction.”
- Dr. David Davis
Dr. David Davis credits Front Range Community College biology professor Dr. Gerald Dotson with changing the course of his life. Inspired by Dr. Dotson’s passion for teaching and commitment to student success, David went on to earn degrees in biology, biochemistry, and medicine before becoming a successful dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon.
To honor the professor who shaped his future, Dr. Davis established a $75,000 scholarship endowment through the FRCC Foundation in memory of Dr. Gerald R. Dotson. His gift helps future FRCC students pursue their educational and career goals—continuing the same spirit of mentorship and opportunity that once inspired him.

David & Suzanne Hoover
Investing in Colorado's Future Workforce
“For students who wouldn’t have access to this type of education otherwise, it really makes a difference.”
- Suzanne Hoover
Colorado philanthropists Suzanne and David Hoover made a transformational $1 million commitment to Front Range Community College to support manufacturing education and student scholarships. Their gift helped fund the Hoover Family Automation and Engineering Technology Lab within FRCC’s Center for Integrated Manufacturing while also creating the Hoover Family Endowment to provide long-term scholarship support for students.
The Hoovers recognized the growing need for skilled workers in advanced manufacturing and believed FRCC students deserved access to hands-on training and life-changing educational opportunities.
Let's Change Lives Together
Every gift—large or small—helps create opportunties for students that can be truly life changing. All while strengthening our local workforce and building a brighter future for Colorado communities.
