Your Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide you and your eligible dependents, including domestic partner, with a broad range of employer paid and employee paid benefit options. Depending on employment classification, benefits may include Health, Dental and Vision options, Life and Accidental Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability, Employee Assistance Program, a retirement package offered through the Colorado Public Employee Retirement Association, Supplemental Retirement plans (401k plan and 457 plan), and Tuition Reimbursement for you and your eligible dependents to use toward classes at any community college within the Colorado Community College System. We offer paid leave, which includes accrued vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays.

Eligibility for benefits is defined by your employment classification – see more detailed information.

Work Life Balance

We offer a generous amount of annual and sick leave. Depending on your employment classification, we offer up to 4.5 weeks annually of accrued vacation time and 10 hours a month of accrued sick time.  There are 10 paid holidays throughout the year, 5 of which allow the college to be closed Christmas Day through New Year’s Day, so you can spend time with family and friends.

Health, Dental & Vision

For us, your health is a top priority. We offer several health plans, depending on your job classification. In addition to medical coverage, we also have dental and vision insurance plans to choose from. All plans have the option to include your eligible dependents and we pay for a portion of the insurance coverage to help offset the cost.

Retirement

We participate in Colorado Public Employee Retirement Association (PERA) available to state of Colorado employees. PERA provides retirement and other benefits to more than 500 government agencies and public entities in the state of Colorado. PERA eligible employees are required to contribute a percentage of their salary to the pension, and the college contributes a percentage of pay as well. While you are enrolled in PERA, you do not pay Social Security. In addition, there are supplemental retirement plans available through three other vendors. Learn more about PERA.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) offer you an easy way to pay for eligible medical and child care expenses with money that’s set aside with a pre-tax benefit.

Disability Coverage

We offer disability insurance to help you meet your financial needs if you become unable to work due to an illness or injury.

Life Insurance

We offer life insurance paid for by the college to eligible employees. Supplemental life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance policies are available for those interested in additional coverage.

Tuition Reimbursement

Education and your success is a priority at Front Range Community College. We encourage you to develop job skills and abilities which will benefit you as well as our college. Eligible employees, their eligible dependents, and domestic partners may enroll in credit courses at any of the 13 system community colleges. Tuition is reimbursed by the college for those classes in which the student receives a grade of C or higher.
