Admissions Requirements

You may apply for the Paralegal & Legal Assistant Certificate program if:

  1. You possess (at the time of entry) an Associate degree with 18 credits of general education credits or a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university.
  2. Students not possessing an approved degree must enroll in the Paralegal/Legal Assistant Associate of Applied Science program.

How to Apply

Step 1: Apply to FRCC

The first step is to complete the online FRCC application:

  • Select Social Sciences, Education & Public Service for Area of Interest
  • Select Paralegal / Legal Assistant Certificate for degree
  • Attach all supplemental documents to your application

Step 2: Submit Supplemental Documents

The next step is to attach supplemental documents to your submitted application. This includes:

  • An unofficial college transcript to verify you have earned an Associate’s degree with 18 credits of general education credits or a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university.

How to Upload Supplemental Documents

  • After completing the online application, click  Submit Application
  • Click on the My Account link in the menu
  • Click on the View link under ACTION

When you have successfully uploaded a document, the submission status will show as Received.
