Teaching Philosophy
I really enjoy teaching the Fundamentals of Nursing course. The students are so eager to learn and are so impressionable. I appreciate the opportunity to be a strong role model, and learn from my students every time that I work with them. It is important to model the concept of lifelong learning. It is important to truly care about each student and enable the students to feel that compassion. I believe the classroom should be a safe place for the students to become involved in discussions and small group work. Learning should be fun and I try to make my classroom exciting by sharing my nursing experiences. I encourage pride in the profession that they have chosen.
