Eric completed his master’s degree in philosophy at Colorado State University where he focused on ethics and the philosophy of science. After graduating, he taught philosophy at Oregon State University and Marylhust University for five years before being returning to Fort Collins in 1999 to join the faculty at FRCC Larimer Campus. When not at work, he likes to spend time relaxing with his family, hiking in the mountains with his dogs, reading, writing, watching movies and listening to music.
Teaching Philosophy
I love my job here at Front Range Community College. It is a privilege to be able to help students study philosophy; I take this responsibility very seriously. I’ll let these three quotes give some insight into my teaching philosophy: “The unexamined life is not worth living.” - Plato “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.” - Aristotle “The demand for certainty is one which is natural to man, but is nevertheless an intellectual vice.” - Bertrand Russell
