Karen is a RMA, RPT, RAHI, a member of the AMT (American Medical Technologist) and a certified BLS\CPR Instructor with the AHA (American Heart Association). Karen has extensive experience teaching at both proprietary education and community colleges. Her experience in the medical field comes from the hospital setting and a privately owned clinic where she did a range of functions both clinical (vitals, phlebotomy, IV, assisting in minor surgeries, precipitous deliveries) and front office duties (billing\coding, scheduling patients and patient registration). Karen also volunteers and is heavily involved in the community with her responsibilities as the 9 News Health Fair Adams County Medical Trainer. Her experience and training has also allowed her to volunteer in Vietnam with Face the Challenge, a nonprofit group that travels to Vietnam to perform over 100 life altering surgeries and train the doctors and hospital staff in Vietnam to continue to offer those services.
