Teaching Philosophy
My goal as a teacher is to push my students beyond what they think they can achieve by providing a challenging and supportive classroom environment.
Teaching Experience
I have a wide range of experience doing a variety of jobs. I was a commercial editorial photographer for 30 years with my work published by the Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, AP, UPI and Downbeat magazine among other publications. I have taught photography and visual art for 31 years at several different schools including Indiana University and University of Northern Colorado and think FRCC is the best place to teach. I started an Early Childhood Education Center based on the visual arts using the Reggio Emilia method and spent two years as head brewmaster at Greeley’s first brewery.
