At Front Range Community College you can explore potential career interests, earn college credit and get a feel for what college classes are like. If you are under 17 and interested in taking classes at FRCC, there are two options.
Concurrent Enrollment
Concurrent enrollment allows public high school students in grades 9-12 to take college classes for high school and college credit with tuition paid by the school district or charter school. Learn more about concurrent enrollment.
Minimum Age Requirements Waiver
If you are under 17 years old and want to take college classes independently (not paid through a school district), you must be approved for a minimum age requirement waiver.
Students who wish to waive the minimum age (17) for admissions (as per the Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System State Board Policy) must meet the following criteria and complete the steps below:
Demonstrate Readiness for College-Level Work
Students must demonstrate readiness for college-level work by meeting all state-established minimum scores for college-level English and mathematics. College level preparedness can be demonstrated by the following minimum scores:

SAT: 470 or higher verbal and a 560 or higher math score (if taking math or a class that requires math). If you took the SAT before March 1, 2016, you will need 430 or higher for Evidence-based Reading and 460 or higher in math.

ACT: English 18, Math 19
- Accuplacer: English (WritePlacer Essay) 246-300, Math (AAF) score 245-279 (if taking math or a class that requires math)

- There are no application deadlines
*Some programs have a selective admissions process and require more documentation and information to apply.
Application Instructions
- To start your application by clicking the Create an Account tab to enter basic information and create your application username (your personal email address) and password. You can save your work and log into your application account at any time to finish your application,
- After you apply, you'll receive a welcome email within 3-5 business days with all the information you need to get started. Be sure to check your SPAM or JUNK email if you don't see this email within 3-5 business days.
More Application Information:
- While there is no official application deadline, we recommend that you apply at least one month before the start of the term. This gives you time to get through the enrollment steps and register for classes on time.
- If you took classes at FRCC or have applied to FRCC within the last year, you are considered an active student and don't need to reapply.
- Some programs (i.e., nursing, bachelor's degree programs, dental hygiene, etc.) have a selective admissions process and application time frame. Contact an admissions representative if you have any questions about one of these programs.
- If you are under 17 years old and want to take college classes independently (not paid through a school district), check out how to waive the minimum age requirement.

Log into eWOLF and Access Navigate360
Log into our student portal, eWOLF, then find the Registration Tools card. Click on the Navigate360 Home link.
In Navigate360, you can create course schedules, register for classes and make appointments with your advisor—all in one place.
- Check your email for your FRCC student number (S#) and initial login information. You should receive this approximately 3-5 days after submitting your application. Be sure to check your SPAM or JUNK email if you don't see this email within 3-5 business days.
Complete the Pre-Advising Essentials Journey
Once you log into Navigate360, click on the Journeys tab in the menu bar to get started with your Pre-Advising Essentials Journey.
Think of Pre-Advising Essentials (PAE) as your academic planning survival toolkit. guiding you through the key steps to get ready for your first semester. You’ll:
- Learn how college works
- Choose or confirm your program
- Complete important steps like placement and surveys
- Get familiar with the tools you’ll use to register and stay on track
Meet with an Advisor
Optional Subheading
Students (and their guardians) should meet with an new student advisor or designated staff member to determine eligibility for admission and appropriateness of course selection. The Dean of Student Development (or designee) is responsible for final approval.

Sign Underage Admission Waiver
The student and the student's parent or guardian must sign the Underage Admission Waiver indicating that they understand the college's expectations.
east Underage Admission WaiverWaiver Approval
The Associate Vice President of Enrollment & Retention or their designee is responsible for final approval of the Underage Admissions Waiver. If the student is older than 13 and demonstrates academic readiness, their advisor may approve the waiver.
Students will be notified regarding whether their waiver was approved or denied by the the Dean of Student Development (or designee). If approved, you can complete the enrollment steps to get started.
