About Concurrent Enrollment

Student writing on the whiteboard.

Concurrent Enrollment allows public high school students in grades 9-12 to take college classes for high school and college credit with tuition paid by the school district or charter school and the College Opportunity Fund. Learn more about concurrent enrollment from the Colorado Department of Education.

Students may enroll in Guaranteed Transfer (GT) courses or Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses as long as they meet any applicable requirements, and have the approval of the high school. Courses must fit in the student’s Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) at the high school. Students will have the support of their high school counselor and FRCC staff throughout their participation in concurrent enrollment.
