Geospatial Science (GIS) Bachelor’s Degree

FRCC now offers a new B.A.S. degree for students interested in pursuing a career in geospatial sciences. The GIS bachelor degree builds on FRCC’s two-year GIS degree (A.A.S.), so graduates of the associate GIS program can continue their studies, earning an additional 60 credits to complete their bachelor’s. GIS courses are open to non-degree seeking students as well.

B.A.S. in Geospatial Science

120 credits
(8 semesters)

This GIS degree prepares you to perform geospatial science-based work using various technologies including: GIS, remote sensing, programming, databases, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and global navigation satellite system (GNSS). Students will also be qualified to continue on to a Master's program if desired.
