The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree with an Electrical/Mechanical Concentration will qualify you for entry-level positions in manufacturing industries and maintenance of electrical equipment in energy industries.

Electrical/Mechanical Technicians construct, operate, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in various industries. You will learn about electronics, digital devices, programmable logic controllers, industrial fluid power and control, lean manufacturing, and wind and solar energy.

A.A.S. with

Power Technology Concentration

The A.A.S. degree with Power Energy Technology Concentration will qualify you for entry-level positions in power plant operations and electric grid operations.

Operators monitor power plant equipment and indicators, adjust controls to generate specified electrical power, and control power generating equipment. You will learn about basic plant operations, digital devices, instrumentation and control, steam turbines, power generation, substations and transformers, and interconnected system operations.

Manufacturing and Energy Technology

This certificate provides a firm foundation for specialization in Manufacturing and Energy Technology. You learn about safety, electronics, print reading, measurement, communication and teamwork, and quality control. You also complete the general education requirements for the degree.

Once you complete the certificate, you choose your degree concentration in either Electrical/Mechanical Technology or Energy Technology.
