This certificate prepares students to perform professional GIS work based on geospatial technical competency in vector, raster and light detection and ranging technologies.

This certificate program introduces students to geographic information systems and cartography. Students work with advanced analytical tools and develop skills in spatial problem solving.

Paid Internship Opportunity

Geo-Launchpad is a paid summer research internship open to all community college students. It is dedicated to increasing the diversity of students in the geosciences, and develops research-ready skills for a career path in science, engineering, or technology. This eight week program takes place at UNAVCO located in Boulder, CO from early June to late July. If needed, housing and a bus pass are provided to those who are accepted. Learn more.
