Training for High-Demand Health Care Jobs
You will be trained to be a health care administrative assistant knowledgeable in medical terminology and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
You'll learn how to manage the daily operations of a medical facility, check in patients, verify patient insurance, and provide quality customer service to patients.

Customer Service in Health Care
(2 credits) |
A solid introduction to customer service theory and techniques used in health care. You'll learn how to serve diverse populations with cultural sensitivity, how to use therapeutic communication, conflict resolution and negotiation, and employee/employer relations. |
Computers in Health Care
(2 credits) |
Learn about computers and software used in the health care industry. You'll learn the basic features of selected software, hardware terminology, software and online resources, and electronic health-based research. |
Medical Record Terminology
(2 credit) |
Become knowledgeable in medical terminology and interpreting medical records. You'll learn pathophysiology for major body systems, and commonly used medical abbreviations, with an emphasis on combining complex prefixes, roots and suffixes. |
