The Holistic Health with Yoga Teacher Certification program prepares students for entry-level positions in the field, including: yoga instructor at a yoga studio, gym, etc. After further training students can become acupuncturists, homoeopathists, reiki practitioners, massage therapists, and more, whether with established providers or as an entrepreneur.

  • Explore a growing field related to the Medical Industry
  • Study topics and methods in Holistic Health and Complementary and Alternative Medicine, including:
    • Homeopathy
    • Acupuncture
    • Aromatherapy
    • Herbology
    • And more!
  • Learn about careers in the Holistic Health field, as well as basic knowledge to become a successful health entrepreneur
  • Learn techniques to manage stress and enhance your own wellness
  • Earn a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification and national membership with the Yoga Alliance
  • Complete CPR training through the American Heart Association
  • Meet experts and professionals in the classroom and during field trips
  • Explore individual passions and interests through individualized projects, job shadows, and/or internships
  • Acquire professional workplace and employment skills throughout the year.
This program could be right for you if you have:
  • A history of good attendance
  • A history of turning in assignments
  • Willingness to seek help
  • Good communication with instructor and classmates
  • Willingness to participate in all assignments and activities

High School Credit

All students earn elective high school credit (see your counselor for more information).

College Credit

Twelve optional college credits are available:
  • HHP 100 - Intro to Complementary Healing Methods
  • HHP 107 - Managing Life’s Stresses
  • HHP 250 - Yoga Teacher Training for Certification
Students who successfully complete these classes and complete certificate program admission requirements earn an FRCC Yoga Teacher Certificate as well as national certification as a yoga instructor through the Yoga Alliance.

Optional college credits earned through this program apply towards FRCC degrees and certificates!

Apply Credits Toward a Degree

Students who wish to continue at FRCC can apply all credits earned to the Holistic Health A.A.S. Many credits apply to a variety of shorter FRCC certificate programs, as well. Learn more about these programs.
