The Gateway to College National Network was part of the Early College High School Initiative originally funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It has now joined Achieving the Dream, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping community college students succeed. In this program, you will earn your high school diploma as well as some college credits, coupled with an intense and robust support structure.

  • The program covers tuition and books for up to 14 credits per semester, while students pay their student fees. 
  • Students must meet all program requirements to continue participating in the program.
  • All classes are held at the Westminster Campus of Front Range Community College.

Who can participate?

You are eligible for Gateway to College if you are: 

  • Between 16 and 20 years old
  • A student from Mapleton Public Schools, Adams 12 Five Star Schools, Jeffco Public Schools, Brighton 27J, Stargate School, or Westminster Public Schools
  • A student who is about to drop out of high school or at risk of dropping out
  • A student who has fallen far behind in school and does not have the amount of credits you should for your grade level 
  • Able to complete requirements to receive a high school diploma by your 21st birthday 
  • Reading English at the 8th grade level or higher

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, in-person Info Sessions have been cancelled.

We will be holding live streamed virtual Info Sessions via Zoom on the dates listed below.  Please register for a date below with a working email address.  We will follow-up with you through email, including a link for the Zoom event.
