The Social Science, Education & Public Service Community prepares you to transfer to a four-year school majoring in anthropology, criminal justice, economics, education, geography, history, political science, psychology or sociology. OR start a career as an early childhood educator, as ESL teacher or paralegal.

In our associate degree in Social Science program, you will strengthen your critical thinking, writing, collaboration, and technology skills, and nurture your appreciation of the rich diversity of the world, which will help prepare you for a variety of social science careers.

Some of the methods of study include observing and interviewing people and analyzing empirical research. In our social science programs, you will experience a variety of class structures and flexible teaching formats that cater to students' different interests and learning styles.

Academic Plans

My Academic Plans (MAPs) help guide you toward completing your degree or certificate.  When you take classes in the order recommended on the academic plan and based on your schedule, you will save time and money.

Advising & Support

You will be assigned to an Academic Advisor who is knowledgeable in the community's fields of study, and is an important part of your success helping you reach your academic goals.
