College Chemical Hygiene Plan

What is a Chemical Hygiene Plan?

A Chemical Hygiene Plan is required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for laboratories working with hazardous chemicals. Front Range Community College has a Chemical Hygiene Plan to reduce the risk of chemical-related diseases, such as systemic diseases, cancer, or reproductive effects. Each laboratory at the college also has a Laboratory-Specific Chemical Hygiene Plan (Lab-specific CHP) with emergency contact information, site-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training documentation.
