Advising, Career, and Counseling

I have been an advisor at Front Range Community College since 2014. I hold a B.A. in English and Spanish from the University of Virginia and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the FRCC Advising & Career team, I taught English (TEFL/TESOL) in Thailand and Taiwan, worked as an academic advisor at Colorado State University, and taught composition, literature, and creative writing at various colleges. As an advisor, I consider it an honor and privilege to help students discover options and opportunities, define meaningful goals for themselves, and create motivating plans for success.

Whether hiking local trails, treasure hunting in thrift stores, or exploring a foreign city, I take great pleasure in discovery. Creative writing is a lifelong passion of mine, and I regularly spend hours immersed in the written word.
