Teaching Philosophy
Jaren’s goal is to have every student understand and enjoy the economic way of thinking. Moreover, upon successful completion of his class he hopes that students learn to think critically, approach problems with an open mind, and be able to apply economic concepts to a variety of aspects within their lives. He believes that this is best achieved through a diverse set of teaching techniques that integrates hands-on learning, technology, and a Socratic pedagogy that fosters open class discussions and engaging content.
