Sue is a RN, MSN with a specialty in Education. Sue has worked at the Larimer County Jail providing care for incarcerated patients since 2014. This experience has resulted in a desire to teach students about working with vulnerable populations including those with serious mental illness and addiction. Before nursing, Sue worked as a research assistant in academic and biotechnology research labs in Boston, Edinburgh, and South San Francisco, and as an Environmental Health and Safety Director in South San Francisco.
Teaching Philosophy
My most impactful educators have been those who encouraged me to utilize my varied experiences, recognize my strengths, and think critically about what I am learning. My goal as a nursing faculty member is to help students find their passion and recognize the value of their contributions in education and in nursing.
