My Story:
I refer to my story as the “D-tour,” because I took a different path and didn’t return to college until I was 32 years old. Prior to that, I worked as a journeyman mason for a family business. Working in construction was an invaluable experience that taught me an excellent work ethic, leadership, loyalty, creativity, and that quality is more important than quantity. It also revealed to me that I did not want to that for the rest of my life.

Since then, I am proud to say that I’ve earned a certificate and three college degrees! Furthermore, I have been extremely fortunate to be part of Front Range Community College.

As an Outreach Representative, I am passionate about helping people enroll and navigate through the college experience, providing pep talks along the way. When students wonder if it is all worth it, I am there to offer hope, inspiration, and proof that “D-tours” can reveal hidden paths to opportunity regardless of age!
