2025-2030 Strategic Plan

Key Initiatives

In this Section

At FRCC, our strategic priorities come to life through bold, collaborative initiatives that drive meaningful impact for our students and the communities we serve.

Through partnerships with national organizations and a commitment to continuous improvement, we’re building the capacity to deliver on our vision to redefine community college education.

The initiatives featured here reflect our dedication to using data, collaboration and evidence-based practices to remove barriers, close equity gaps and ensure every student has the support needed to successfully graduate and achieve their goals.

CCA Accelerator

Front Range Community College is honored to be the only Colorado college chosen to join the Complete College America Accelerator, a national initiative supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Through this partnership, FRCC is one of 19 state partners and 100 colleges and universities nationwide united in a shared mission to improve student success, close equity gaps and redefine what equitable higher education looks like in the 21st century.

Participation in the accelerator builds FRCC’s capacity to implement and sustain evidence-based practices that remove barriers to completion and ensure more students reach their educational goals.

How This Work Advances Our Strategic Priorities

Success for Every Learner. This initiative directly supports FRCC’s commitment to ensure every student, regardless of background, has the resources, support and pathways to complete their educational journey. Through this initiative, FRCC will strengthen data-informed strategies that improve persistence, retention and graduation rates for all learners.

Learning Without Limits. By joining this national network, FRCC is expanding access to innovation, collaboration and expertise that will transform how students experience college. This work encourages flexible, student-centered approaches to make learning more personalized, connected and accessible so every learner can thrive without barriers.

A Catalyst for Innovation and Collaboration

“This collaboration is more than a recognition of the work we’ve been doing—it’s a catalyst,” said Dr. Alana Olschwang, FRCC’s Vice President for Strategy and Innovation. “It positions our college to amplify what’s working, learn from others and share our insights with colleges across the nation.”

Through the accelerator, FRCC will conduct institutional assessments, strengthen data capacity and partner with national experts to implement practices that drive measurable student success outcomes.
